Lisa Perry of Jackson and Jeff and Jayne Perry of Knoxville, Tenn., announce the engagement of their daughter, Carol Ann Perry, to Richard Alan Smith. He is the son of Linda and Bill Wooten and Stan and Tracy Smith, all of Jackson.
Perry is a graduate of Jackson High School, and received a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Smith is a graduate of Jackson High School, and is majoring in mechanical engineering at the University of Missouri-Rolla.
The couple will be married at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau.
